Lola J. Eggum, age 70 of Lindstrom formerly of North St. Paul, died Friday, May 6, at Parmly LifePointes.

Lola was born September 12, 1940 at Vergas, Minnesota to Arthur and Ruth (Klefler) Fillbrandt. She attended school in New York Mills, where she graduated. She married Sidney Eggum right out of high school and moved to St. Paul. Lola first worked at the Red Owl Grocery Store in the Hillcrest Shopping Center in St. Paul and then became a homemaker when her first child was born. She later worked as a bookkeeper in the family business, Eggum Industries. Lola moved to the Lindstrom area in 2007 to be near family. She loved going to the casinos and gambling. In her earlier years she loved bowling and playing the piano and accordion. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor.

Lola is survived by her children; Christine (Craig) Cadmus of Hudson, WI: Kathleen (Brent) Larsen of Newport, MN; Sandy (Todd) Peterson of Lindstrom, MN and Michael (Abby) Eggum of Brainerd, MN. Grandchildren, Tyrrelle Stuntz, Andy Jorgensen, Jake Moreno, Jenny Cadmus, Justin Cadmus, Dylan Larsen, Kayla Peterson, Shane Peterson, and Madison Eggum; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Ryan and Nick Stuntz and Alexis Ingram. She is also survived by special friend, Joe Klein and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Glenice; brother Ernest and daughter, Pamela.

Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City with Rev. Mike Peterson officiating. Organist will be Joy Sietsema. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church, Thursday. Private family interment will take place. Arrangements are under the direction of Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.
