Shirley Ann Johnson, 81, of Center City, Minnesota passed away on October 17, 2011. Born on April 6, 1930 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Shirley grew up in St. Paul and was a graduate of Johnson High School. She worked for six years at the First National Trust Company before marrying Donald P. Johnson in 1956. Together they raised four children. Shirley was a talented amateur artist and an avid reader. She attended and served at her church, Kost Evangelical Free Church, for 48 years. She is survived by her husband, Donald, and her children: Susan Lynn Peterson (Gary), Richard Johnson (Kerry), Julie Kean, and James Johnson (Sandy); and five grandchildren. Funeral Service 10 a.m. Saturday, October 22 , 2011 at Kost Evangelical Free Church, North Branch, MN. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Friday at Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom & one hour prior to service at church. Interment at the Kost Cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.
