Dr. Raymond L. "Doc" Hanson DVM, of Lindstrom, died Friday, August 16, 2011 at Parmly LifePoints in Chisago City at the age of 95.

Ray was born September 5, 1915 in Argyle, WI to Edwin and Tilla Hanson. He graduated from Argyle High School. He graduated in the second graduating class from the University of Minnesota. He married Muriel Hansen in Rochester, MN. Ray practiced Veterinary Medicine in Lindstrom for over 30 years. In his free time, Ray enjoyed horses, horse shows, hunting, watching football and basketball.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Edna; wife Muriel, brothers Everett Hanson, Samuel Hanson and Julian Framsted. He is survived by his daughter Jacquie (Dennis) Stendahl, of Lindstrom; son Timothy (Barb) Hanson of Plymouth; 11 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and his sister Elaine Aune.

Memorial services 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the services.
