Beginning soon and, on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month, Jackie Scheldorf will be facilitating "Fusion" (which literally means "coming together") for Chisago Lakes Middle School students, right after school in Room 121. Youth can play games and do mini service projects like making cards for senior citizens. Sign up is students is at school, or on the Youth Service Bureau website. Beverages and snacks are provided at each session. No charge to participate!

Scheldorf's passion for service and working with kids is inspiring and reminds us all that there is so much to be gained from investing time in the life of youth.

Jackie Scheldorf has lived in Lindstrom for 14 years and has worked at St. Bridget's Church for the past 10 years.

She has been a dedicated volunteer for Lakes Area Youth Service Bureau (LAYSB) ever since she attended our informational luncheon for local youth ministers in 2007. She heard us talk about our desire to provide programming for youth in the Chisago area and our need for a dependable volunteer. She has given well over 70 hours of her time to make LAYSB programs possible in her area. She also volunteers at the Chisago Lakes LifeCare Center (pregnancy care center), is a Mary Kay consultant and loves going for walks on beautiful fall days! She and her husband Scot have four daughters.
