The 2012 boys’ hockey awards for the Wildcats are shown below. Here are a few interesting facts about this year’s team: --After graduating 17 seniors in 2011, this season the Wildcats had just one senior who got significant playing time: Danny Kimlinger. --Freshman goaltender Jake Dubose was seventh in the state in minutes played during the regular season, with 1,281. --Sophomore Brandon Gillespie led the team in both scoring, with 25 points (19 goals, 6 assists), and penalty minutes, with 49. --Even though the youthful Wildcats won just 10 games this season, they exceeded expectations under the tutelage of first year head coach Josh Liebenow.
