The 2012 FIRST Robotics Team 3038 held the end of season banquet, where team members were recognized. Noted were; Josh Magnuson (CL) for drawing the robot in CAD, Branden Heidelberger (NB) for being the Safety Captain and spearheading the team's award winning efforts to win the safety award, and Marjorie Otto (NB) for her work on the website. Other seniors were recognized their efforts on the team including Stephanie Babou for marketing and scouting and Alex Peka for his willingness to work on any project that needed attention. Finally, three seniors were recognized for their participation on the team since it began in 2009. Araya Gamble (CL) for her work on electrical and the drive team, Carl Fisk (NB) for his ideas, drive team membership, and recruiting of new team members, and Andy Lawrence (NB) for his mechanical ability. Other senior team members included Shawn Herubin (NB), Josh Kloos (NB), Logan Lange (CL) Zach Radford (NB). "This group of seniors really shaped the program for the future especially those who have been in the program since its infancy," commented Mentor Becky Leuer.

"As mentors, we cannot thank them enough for the time they have given the program over their careers." Team members were awarded Certificates of Participation, Letters, and Safety Pins for their efforts during the season. Returning team members will include Elliot Courant (CL), Jordan Duffy (CL), Newell Fisk (NB), Jake Hatle (NB), Noah Hubbard (NB), Grant Hyslop (NB), Max Hyslop (NB), Alyssa Johnson (NB), Emily Lawrence (NB), Angi McDonnell (NB), Makkena Pascavage (NB), Noah Rockenback (CL), Sam Schefers (CL), Nicole Schmitz (CL), and Mike Stephens (NB). FIRST Team 3038 is excited to announce 2012 Summer Robotics Camp, Monday, June 18 through Thursday, June 21 at North Branch Area High School. Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. There will be three tracks for the program.

Track 1 is for less exerienced members and they will build a robot from the ground up and participate in a competition on Thursday afternoon. Track 2 is for more experienced team members who will work with pneumatics and make improvements on the current robots to get it ready for competition at the State Fair. Track 3 will be for website development and other marketing needs of the team. The camp is open to students from North Branch and Chisago Lakes who will enter Grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 in the 2012-2013 school year.
