He was born July 25, 1932 in North Minneapolis to James and Katherine Conlow. Harold lived in Minneapolis, Lexington/Circle Pines, Sioux City, IA, Chisago City, Forest Lake and most recently, Sturgeon Lake. Harold and his wife, Judy also wintered in Lehigh Acres, FL in later years. Harold worked in Industry and later became Chemical Dependency Councilor. Harold developed a CD program in Sioux City, IA (first CD program to attain JCAHD in the state). Harold returned to Minnesota as Director of Rehabilitation at Hazelden, Center City until retiring in 1993.
Harold loved golf and his pals on the golf course. He loved his children and grandchildren and all things Irish. But most of all, he loved his God, other alcoholics, A.A. and recovery. He helped many people attain sobriety. “A friend of Bill’s for over 44 years”.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Leo; one son, Tom.
Harold is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Richard (Kellie) Conlow, Dennis (Cheryl) Conlow, Vicki Diamond, Christine (Bruce) Lind and Pamela Conlow; one sister, Peggy (Andy) Kloster; step children, Jerry (Donna) Noyes, Mark (Michele) Noyes, Matthew Noyes; 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; special pal, Keagan; former wife, Beverly Conlow.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, August 17, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake with Military Honors provided by Moose Lake American Legion Post #379.
