Leadership team at North Branch provides dual role for Carlson
Brett Carlson, Activities Coordinator for North Branch Area High School, has been named half-time Activities Director and half-time Community Education Director for North Branch Area Public Schools. "I am looking forward to working hard for both our students and our community," said Carlson, who is excited by the challenge of his dual role. Carlson, 34- pursued undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, and has a Master's degree in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University, as well as a Master's degree in Athletic and Activities Administration from the University of St. Thomas. He is a licensed K-12 principal and Community Education Director. Prior to his arrival at NBAPS, Carlson was a social studies teacher at Apple Valley High School, Champlin Park High School, and White Bear Lake High School. "Brett is a wonderful addition to our team," said Supt. Deb Henton. "We are fortunate to have his leadership and abilities impacting not one, but two, important areas of the school district." He and wife Renee, have two daughters - Megan (5) and Sarah (2).
