Elliott H. “Scotty” Scott, age 87 of Chisago City, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2012. He was born March 24, 1925 in Brainerd, Minnesota to parents Oliver and Ruth Scott. He was raised on Echo Stock Dairy Farm in Brainerd, was active in 4H and his community and church. Elliott was proud to serve his country and served in active combat duty in WWII in Italy. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Elliott married Betty Nordin in 1947. He was Elder at Shiloh Bethany Presbyterian Church and active with the youth groups. He was employed by Peavy Company at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange for 28 years. Elliott was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans and spent many hours helping organize the purchase of the county’s Veterans van. Elliott is preceded in death by his parents and brother John O. Scott. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Betty; children Glen (Darlene) Scott and Karen (Ron) Tveitbakk; grandchildren Katherine (Nate) Koch, Chris Scott, Jamie (Heather) Tveitbakk, and Heidi Tveitbakk; great grandchildren Carson, Anna, and Ben; sisters Mary Helen Kunde and Marion Scott; and many other family and friends. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
