Myrtle M. Berglund

Myrtle M. Berglund, of Lindstrom died December 24 at Parmly LifePointes, at the age of 95. Myrtle was born February 20, 1917 in Center City to Peter and Ellen Berglund. She attended the Furuby School House and graduated from Chi Hi. She attended one year of business college in Minneapolis. She worked for Van Tilberg Oil Co. in Minneapolis. In 1939 Myrtle began working at Security State Bank in Lindstrom and retired in 1982. Myrtle loved to travel, going back to the family roots in Sweden seven times. She was active in many organizations such as church circle, Ki Chi Saga Swedish Club, Chisago Lake Hospital Auxiliary, Doll club and Study Club. She was a lifetime member of Chisago Lake Lutheran Church. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by sister Doris Seekins of Vancouver, WA, brothers Philip (Lois) Berglund of Vancouver, WA, Ralph (Anna Mae) of Lindstrom, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services Saturday Dec. 29 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City at 11 a.m.. Visitation one hour prior. Interment Chisago Lake Cemetery.
