Midsommer Golf Tourney battles elements, but still a success
North Branch Golf Course held their annual Midsummer three-person scramble on Saturday, June 16. The team of Trinity Dimich, Chad Bistodeau and Cory Grace shot a 29-28 for a total of 57 to win the Championship flight honors. Steve Aho, Garry Weisinger and Darrel Fisk turned in scores of 33-29 for a total of 62 to win the first flight. A total of 26 teams competed in the 18-hole event. North Branch Golf Course wants to thank the following hole sponsors: Branch Manufacturing Co., Big Daddy's, Nelly's Cab Service, North Branch Chevrolet, Olde Brick Inn, Anderson & Koch Ford, Inc., Viking Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Olson Power & Equipment, Borash Auto, J. J.'s Bowl & Lounge, AmericInn, Peterson's North Branch Mill, Lamperts and American Legion Post #85. Door prizes were provided by: Greg Leland/Superior National Golf Course, McDonald Distributing Co., Holiday, J. J.'s Bowl & Lounge, Olde Brick Inn, Joe's on Main Street Cafe, Big Daddy's, J. J. Taylor Distributing of MN, Viking Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Dahlheimer Distributing, Borash Auto, Dairy Queen and Nelly's Taxi Service. Extra help was provided by AmericInn, Roger Emeott, Bill Clarkson, Dale Durham, Grant White and Lonnie Gay.
