Marilyn Mays works with children on Elementary Stages
A group of 2nd and 3rd grade students from the area of South Chisago County will be putting on a play, “Too Much Noise” at Chisago Lakes Primary May 24 at 5:05 p.m. This story is about a man who goes to a village wise man to find out what he could do about his noisy house, and the solution seemed simple enough, but it gets more complicated as an entire farm comes to life inside his house. Find out how this problem ends and the house becomes quiet when you come to the Primary School Stage May 24. May 24 at 5:05 p.m. at the Lakeside Elementary School stage, an acting troupe of 3-5th grade students will put on the play, “Don’t Waste Your Breath.” Marilyn Mays, a local theater artist and director, will be inspiring these young thespians to improve their acting skills and to enjoy that art of being in theater. Take in some local youth theater at these two events. These two activities have been organized by Chisago Lakes Community Education and have been funded in part by a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council with funds provided by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Funds as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the vote of the people of MN on Nov. 4, 2008.
