Tinjum to make return trip to Minnesota on Sat.

Former Chisago Lakes girls basketball star Whitney Tinjum will make a return to Minnesota this weekend. Tinjum, who is a true freshman, will be in town on Washington State’s team as the Cougars take part in the Best Buy Classic at the Barn this weekend at the University of Minnesota. Tinjum’s Cougars’ are schedule to play at noon on Saturday, Nov. 10 against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Regardless of a win or loss, WSU will play again against either Villanova or South Dakota. If the Cougars beat the Gophers, Tinjum will play again on Sunday at 1 p.m. If Washington State loses their first game against Minnesota, they will play on Sunday at 11 a.m. In two exhibition games this year for Tinjum, she has totaled five points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes.
