Richard M. Orpin

Richard M. Orpin of Lindstrom and Bismarck, MO died Friday November 9th at University of Minnesota Medical Center at the age of 77. Richard was born July 11, 1935 in Middle River, MN to Elling and Hilda Orpen. He attended school in Middle River and graduated from Thief River Falls High School. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as an auto transport driver. In his free time he enjoyed yard work and liked to tinker in his garage. On June 27, 1970 he married Joyce Lamirande in Watertown, SD. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Joyce and son Mike. He is survived by his children Larry (Marlene) Cummings, Matthew (Brooke) Orpin, Mark Orpin, Lisa (Connie Mack) Robinson, Bryan (Linda) Hagen, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother Leo and sister Mary Ann. Funeral services Wednesday November 14 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, www.grandstrandfh.com.
