Forest Lake 6, Chisago Lakes 1 The Wildcats had hoped to topple their Lakes Area rival in the playoffs after coming oh-so-close during the regular season. But, Forest Lake turned their game up a notch in the section semi-finals and eliminated Chisago Lakes from contention with a 6-1 victory. The Wildcats had only lost 4-3 in the regular season, so their hope was there. The Rangers proved a bit too much this time around, but it didn’t diminish the ‘Cats season accomplishments. They went 15-4 during the regular season and 11-1 in the North Suburban Conference, losing only to Benilde-St. Margaret’s. Indvidual Sections The Wildcats all had a nice showing in the individual tournament, also, but Sami Hindt made it that farthest, reaching the semi-finals before falling. Both Hindt and Erica Ristow were knocked out by top seed Faith Lee of Andover. Ristow in the second round and Hindt in the third. Jaci Vitali and Maddie Howard ended their careers being upset by the 12th seeded tandem from Elk River. That pair had already beat the fifth seed when they toppled the fourth-seeded Wildcat team in the second round. Allison Gadbois and Amy Budde fell in the first round.
