Warner Leonard Johnson

Warner Leonard Johnson, age 73, of Lindstrom, passed away on October 17, 2012 at the University of Minnesota Fairview Medical Center. He served 44 years in the US Army Reserve retiring in 1998 as Chief Warrant Officer Four. He retired in 2001 from the Dept. of the Army as a civilian employee His last job was as Facilities Management Coordinator for the 88th Army Reserve Regional Support Command at Fort Snelling. Past president of the Dept. of MN Reserve Officers Association. Past Regional Director for MN Lamb & Wool Producers. Community volunteer - active in Little League, Scouts, Historical Society, Meals on Wheels, and his church. Preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley. Survived by wife, Sherry Stirling; six children-Daniel, Dale, Patricia, David, Dean and Scotti; nine grandchildren - Christie, Linnea, Timothy, Janelle, Jennifer, Derek, Julia, Douglas, and Delaree; three great-grandchildren - Elijah, Lily, and Eathan; four siblings - Douglas, Barbara, Pamela, and William; and many other family and friends. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. visitation 10 a.m., on Saturday, October 27 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, 1 SummitAve., Center City, MN. Private interment at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
