George L. Grau

George L Grau. of Lindstrom, MN died Wednesday September 5 at the age of 95. George was born December 29, 1916 in Rusheba Township to George and Frieda Grau. He attended Rush City Schools and was certified as a machinist at the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. He served in the US Army during WWII. January 10, 1942 he married his wife Lil at First Lutheran Church in Northeast Minneapolis. He worked as a Machinist for Armour Meats. In his free time George enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and socializing at the Swedish Inn/Village Inn in Lindstrom. George was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Lil. Will be missed by family and friends. Funeral services were Monday Sept. 10 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Interment Hillside Cemetery in Mpls. www.grandstrandfh.com.
