Leo J. Svoboda

Leo J. Svoboda of Chisago City died Wednesday, September 5 at Fairview University Medical Center at the age of 72. Leo was born in Montgomery, MN to Frank and Mary Svoboda. He graduated from Montgomery High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army. On June 27, 1970 he married his wife Lois at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis. He worked as a Machinist. In his free time Leo enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, puzzles, casino gambling, hand held electronic games, polka music, watching professional football and baseball, watching tv especially Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. Survived by wife Lois, daughters Paula Kapaun, Pam Svoboda, grandchildren Ashley and Donny Kapaun, brother Emil, sisters Lorraine Young, and Lavonne Olson. Memorial Mass 10 a.m. Friday September 14 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lindstrom. Family will greet friends one hour before. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. Arrg.
