Pearl Martin

Pearl Joy Martin was born to Esther and Palmer Vang on November 28, 1918 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her husband Herbert James Martin; son Herbert Peter Martin; sisters Ruby Snyder and Betty Cramer.

She leaves a sister Nancy Benson of Mounds View, MN; daughter-in-law Caren Martin of Stanley, NM; grandsons Eric (Teresa) Reding of Reno, NV, Shawn (Emily) Martin of Stanley, NM, & Derek Martin of Herndon, VA; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends at Parmly LifePointes in Chisago City, MN.

She will be remembered as a pleasant, loving friend, mother, sister, grandma, and aunt. Pearl loved people, flowers, fishing, birds, reading and music. Her quiet, helpful and fun-loving ways are remembered. Her smiles will be endearing. Pearl passed on to her home triumphant on March 27, 2013.

Funeral Service 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Margaret Parmly Chapel in Chisago City with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrandfh.com
