Elizabeth Cordova, a junior at CLHS visiting this academic year from Coquimbo, Chile, and Bill Mack, President of the Chisago Lakes Rotary, are exchanging Rotary flags from their respective clubs. Elizabeth is part of the Rotary International Youth Exchange Program. The Chisago Lakes Rotary Club hosts a student every other year. Rotary encourages local students to apply for the outboard Rotary International Youth Exchange Program for 2014-2015 as the deadline is in September.

Youth Ambassadors must have a sincere desire to: Form international friendships; Learn new ways to communicate; Immerse yourself in a different culture; Have the adventure of a lifetime! This year, more than 8,000 young people will have the opportunity of a lifetime — a chance to live in another country and see the world from a new perspective through Rotary Youth Exchange. For more information and application deadlines check out: http://northstaryouthexchange.com/prospective/. Students can also get more information by calling Bill Mack 651-402-5429.
