Lakes Area Police are investigating a theft case and unauthorized use of credit card. Authorities executed a search warrant at an apartment above a business on mainstreet, in Lindstrom Tuesday, January 29, about 4:30 p.m. Authorities did not book any suspects, Deputy Chief Schlumbohm said this case remains under investigation.
Fish house thefts reported over the week and one case was cleared February 3 when the complainant followed tracks from his Chisago Lake ice house to a residence, near the Shoquist Lane access. A deputy made contact with three juveniles in the home and recovered stolen items. Also a theft from a ice house on North Center Lake reported Jan 31. And, a “clam” style house was taken from North Center Lake, value $300.
A property damage car crash was reported Jan 31 in Shafer Township, 280th Street and the vehicle turned up reported as stolen. A suspect from Mpls. and a suspect from Elk River were apprehended.
A Sandstone male and wife were transported after his car crashed at Viking Blvd and I-35 Feb. 2 about 8 p.m. There were numerous reports of crashed vehicles off the road in various parts of the county over the week as well.
A truck reported as stolen from Blue Waters Leisure Park Feb. 1. The vehicle is reportedly connected to a burglary in Pine County.
