 June 10-12, 33 North Branch Middle School students accompanied by 10 adults toured Washington, D.C.  The three-day trip, which is meant as a whirlwind introduction to our nation’s capital, is an annual event led by Lori Blomquist, a teacher at NBMS.  

This year’s group highlights included visits to Arlington National Cemetery, the Holocaust Museum, the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, Mt. Vernon, the Smithsonian Museums, and the United States Capitol.  

Students participating in this year’s trip included Emily Anderson, Kate Barnes, Jordan Bauch, Alex Dahlstrom, Emily Dolezalek, Eli Dupslaff, Zach Fluegel, Peter Grund, Christian Guerin, Alexia Hilber, Alec Hink, Julia Inman, Lucas Jensen-Schneider, Abby Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, Michael Kenny, Dillon Koolmo, Grace Luchsinger, Katelyn Miller, Brady Moeller, Morgan Murphy, Hunter Newman, Brandon O‘Donnell, Natalie Olinske, Alexys Olson, Jaelynn Parenteau, Lucy Potter, Emily Powell, Jared Schmitt, Jamie Siseman, Morgan Spence, Jaydin Verdick, and Cameron Wentland.  Adults traveling with the group were Julie Bauch, Holly Dragisich, Cliff Guerin, Karol Jensen-Schneider, Amy Johnson, Daryl Moeller, Pam Newbauer, Sheli Parent, Brian O’Donnell, and Lori Blomquist.
