Gerald Jacobs

Gerald Jacobs Gerald F. (Jerry) Jacobs, age 83 of Chisago City. Beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Friend, passed away at home on February 28, 2013.

Attention: IBEW Local 23.

Preceded in death by brother, Eugene. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marietta; his two sons, Steven,(Gayleen) and Bill (Ann), three daughters, Peggy Ludtke (Randy) , Mary Beth Neddersen and Marlene Jacobs and 12 grandchildren, Tom, Heather, Joel, Lena, Wendy, Claire, Brendan, Danny, Tess, Kai, Will, Jacob, Morgan, and Madeline, and great grandson Roy.

Also survived by his sister, Virginia, many nieces and nephews, and friends. He was born in Portsmouth, Iowa on Dec. 6, 1929 and worked for the Rural Electric Coop in Iowa for 18 years, before moving to Minnesota and working for Northern States Power for 26 years. The most important things in life for Jerry were family, friends and church. He loved fishing, taking care of the birds, woodworking and gardening.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wed., March 6, at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church, 13060 Lake Boulevard, Lindstrom, MN. Visitation Tuesday from 5-8pm at Grandstrand Funeral Home, 11900 Lake Lane North, Lindstrom, MN., and one hour before the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to St. Bridget’s Church.
