Katharine I. Seversen

Katharine I. “Kitty” Seversen of St. Croix Falls died Tuesday March 12 at her home, at the age of 82.

Kitty was born July 22, 1930 in Alamo, TX to John and Esther Herwig. She graduated from Minneapolis Roosevelt in 1948. On August 6, 1954 she married Joseph Seversen at Bethesda Free Church in Minneapolis. Kitty and Joe were foster parents to many kids through their lives. She was active in Christian Women’s Club, was an AWANA Leader, and served on the School Board. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, traveling and especially her grandchildren.

Kitty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joe; sister Doris and brothers Tom and Jim. She is survived by children Jodie (JR) Jensen, Mark (Beth), Jayne (Tim) Wellumson, Mike, eight grandchildren and sister Marian.
