Sheriff’s personnel were at Green Lake, Spider Lake and they partnered with Washington County authorities at Bone Lake, to search for Danielle Jelinek last weekend. The family hopes to re-start coordinated volunteer ground searches again as soon as the weather cooperates.

Jelinek has been missing since December 2012 when she allegedly left a homesite south of Chisago City. There’s a $25,000 reward being offered and her family asks fishermen and boaters to be mindful of anything they encounter on the shoreline or underwater that might be a clue to where Danielle is.

May 1 a theft from a residence in Nessel Twsp. A .243 rifle, and three laptops are among missing items. Local police are distributing Dairy Queen coupons for free treats to youth who are observed doing the right thing, like riding bikes with a helmet on.

May 2 authorities issued a ticket to a woman with a burn pile that was located too near a barn and caught the barn on 360th in Shafer Twsp. on fire. The fire was reported about 4:50 p.m. but was controlled.

No news on arrest of the suspect in the February 19 Rush City Northwoods Bank robbery. A Stanchfield woman was sentenced in Wisconsin for her part in the hold-up of the Eagle Valley Bank, Sept. 7, 2012. Tanya Kay Anderson age 39, pled guilty Feb 5, 2013 and she was sentenced in late April to 46 months in federal prison. St. Croix Falls police stopped her after fleeing the bank, and she was not armed but was in possession of the bank cash and the note presented earlier to the teller.
