Jerome A. Carlson

Jerome A. “Jerry” Carlson, age 65, of Richfield, died October 28, 2013.

He was born on July 9, 1948 in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin to parents Olof and Mary (Almquist) Carlson. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Almelund and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City. He was a 1966 graduate of Chisago City High School and a 1970 graduate of Augsburg College. He was employed at Radisson South/Sheridan /Doubletree Hotel in Bloomington for over 40 years working in food service. He enjoyed his job and meeting people. The last 10 years he got a great joy in researching his Swedish heritage. He had located many relatives in Sweden and in this country.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Gloria.

He is survived by his siblings Loren (Florence) Carlson of Rochester and Joanne (John) Ball of Hutchinson; three nephews: Richard (Judi) Carlson of Savage, Keith Carlson of Savage, and James Ball of Litchfield; four nieces: Beth (Robert) Olson of Winsted, Anne (Randy) Wobschall of Rochester, Susan (William) Heil of Waconia, and Karen (Chris) Paone of Rochester; and grand nieces and nephews Steven Carlson, Katie Carlson, Sammie Olson, Alex Olson, Amanda Olson, Alyssa Mueller, Jonah Mueller, Devin Wobschall, Sara Heil, and Matthew Heil.

Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at South Green Lake Cemetery in Chisago City. Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrandfh.com
