Saint Peter's Catholic School welcomes new principal from 916 District

This school year brings several changes to Saint Peter’s Catholic School, a preschool through Grade 6 elementary school in Forest Lake. In addition to the enhanced curriculum offering of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Saint Peter’s Catholic School welcomes three new teachers and Dan Hurley, who will be Principal. Hurley and his family are from Woodbury, where they are members of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church and School. He brings with him a background in Catholic education having attended Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Hill-Murray High School.

Hurley has worked as a teacher, guidance counselor, and most recently as principal with Intermediate School District 917. He has a Master’s of Science in Counseling; a K-12 Principal licensure; an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment; and is currently completing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. “I am honored to be part of Saint Peter’s Catholic School. As I had the honor of attending Catholic education and now begin my 10th year as principal, I realize how blessed I am to have the opportunity to serve this community.
