Stacy woman dies in crash on freeway

Peggy Keocher, 48, of Stacy is identified by state patrol as the victim in a fatal one-car crash this week. The 2006 Malibu she was riding in was being driven by 21-year-old Rebecca Koecher, of Hopkins. She went off into the left side of the freeway while northbound in Anoka County near #14, the patrol report said, and likely over corrected and then hit a message sign on the passenger side of the freeway.

Theft reported from gravesite at Sunrise Cemetery. Loss is an engraved cement plaque with a proverb. Smashed key entry pad at Shafer Storage units reported, loss is $800. MnDOT work zone trailers were broken into at Almelund, a Dell computer is missing. Trail cameras in rural Fish Lake Twsp. stolen. Items are two Moultrie cameras and one Red 6 unit.

Break-in at a pole building off 340th in Chisago Lake Twsp reported. Loss includes a Polaris Ranger, tools and aluminum trailer. Lakes Area P.D. had several calls to the Chisago Lakes High School for controlled substance/prescription possession and for students with e cigarettes.
