Dorothy Carlson

Dorothy H. Carlson of Lindstrom died Thursday March 27 at Sophie’s Manor in Centuria, Wisc. at the age of 91. Dorothy was born on July 16, 1922 in Eureka Twp., WI to Valdemar and Marie Jensen. She attended school at Eureka. On September 4, 1944 she married Wendell Carlson at her home. After Wendell’s death she married Chester Carlson on November 6, 1976 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City.

She was a homemaker all of her life. In her free time Dorothy enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting afghans for family members, bird watching and especially her sons. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Wendell and Chester; brothers Vernon and Sherman; sisters Stella Stone and Marion Fritz. She is survived by her sons Ted (Norma) of Oakdale, Dean (Christine) of Cushing, Dennis (Barb) of Waukesha, Duane (Gwen) of Monroe Falls, OH; sister Anna Bloomquist of St. Paul; sisters-in-law Betty Jensen and Bernice Jensen both of St. Croix Falls; 16 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service 11 AM Saturday April 5 at 11 AM at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Private interment will be in Cushing Cemetery. Arrangement by the Grandstrand Funeral Home at grandstrandfh.com
