Girl Scouts active in community

Girls in Troops 56328, 56329 and 53747 partnered with “Minnesota Nice” a troops support organization to send cookies overseas to military servicepersons. They sold cookies at Trinity Church in Lindstrom and around the area that will be packed and shipped overseas. If you want to get involved in Minnesota Nice the group meets monthly in Hugo and regularly sends shipments of goodies and necessities to Minnesota troops in the Middle East.

Girl Scouts River Valleys donated 733 pounds of cookies to the Chisago Lakes Family Pathways Food Shelf. Pictured below is Tammy Bluhm, volunteer troop leader and food shelf volunteers. The food shelf also benefitted from the Chisago Lakes Lions collection at Brink’s Market, Friday March 28, where 1,840 pounds of food items were donated by store patrons and $200 in cash was collected.
