Shari Grandstrand

Shari Grandstrand passed away peacefully on April 6, 2014 surrounded by her family after a brief, but courageous, battle with cancer.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend.  Raised in Grand Marais MN, she attended Parson’s College, on scholarship, in Iowa.  In 1967 she met and married the love of her life and dedicated her heart to raising their family.  A beautiful soul, she had a love of laughter, a penchant for all things golf, and a keen wit that showed its blue color if you were lucky enough to know her.  Reading, writing, family and friends were her passion.

She is survived by husband, John, children, Gini (Ray), Lyanne (Eddie) and four grandchildren whom she adored; Matthew, Mitchell, Carly, and Cole; sister Gini, brother Jim, and many nieces, nephews, and friends, Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, and one hour prior to service at church on Saturday. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Center City. Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrandfh. com
