He was born on the Dahlquist farm in Chisago City on October 8, 1926 to parents Herbert and Mabel Dahlquist. He lived in the same house on the farm his entire life. Russell enjoyed farming and loved tractors. He is preceded in death by parents Herbert and Mabel Dahlquist.
Russell is survived by cousins, neighbors, and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chisago City with interment at South Green Lake Cemetery in Chisago City.
