Lakes Area officers assisted Forest Lake Police dispersing a large, disorderly party on Scandia Trail. One 22-year-old male was arrested.
A two car crash near Lindstrom Thrifty White, at County 14 and Lake Lane (frontage road) about 4 p.m. August 22 may have been the result of one of the drivers experiencing a heart attack. The second driver refused any care. A Wyoming firefighter who happened to be at the scene lent-a-hand as authorities took control of the incident.
A couple of Stacy area residents were hurt while riding in a 2014 Dodge Ram, that got entangled in a chain reaction crash scene Friday, August 22 at westbound Hwy 10 and 96, in the metro district.
State patrol reported Jacob Bloom and Wendy Bloom were in the truck with driver, Dustin Kroska, 26, of Fridley. State Patrol said early details are that a Brainerd man, driving an Infiniti M35, ran into vehicles stopped on Hwy 10 in construction traffic. He was not hurt. A total of eight persons and four cars were involved and a 64-year-old man from Princeton was killed. The incident was reported about 4:30 p.m.
The flock of 22 pink flamingoes at a residence in North Meadow in Lindstrom were reported stolen August 21. They have been returned.
The flamingoes are a fundraiser for the Karl Oskar Days ambassador/royalty program. See photo and explanation elsewhere in this paper.
Chisago City Public Works received a report of a “bypass” installed at a home on Wildwood Road, allowing for theft of city water services. This is being investigated.
A crash at Pleasant Valley Road and Hwy 8 reported about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, August 19. No details available from state patrol. Center City First Responders were also dispatched, along with deputies for traffic control.
August 23 a house fire/garage fire reported at 530th Street in Rushseba Township.
