A theft from an outbuilding in Lent Township. Loss reported Nov 25.

Theft of a Toshiba laptop computer from vehicle parked in Rush City.

Forced entry into a home of a person recently deceased, several items reported missing, including guns, sword, watches and men’s jewelry.

North Branch Police had a rash of burglary incidents since Thanksgiving but Chief Meyer said there’s no consistent factor to tie any of them to another...one burglary was an outbuilding, others were in town and some were at empty structures and nothing was missing.

North Branch firefighters were sent to an address on Jeffrey Avenue, November 29, when propane was smelled and believed to be leaking at about 1 a.m. They secured the site.
