Pete was born in Northfield, MN on January 27, 1960, to Marv and Jackie Grundhoefer. He attended St. Dominic Elementary School and graduated from Northfield High School. He went on to graduate from St. Thomas College and William Mitchell College of Law. He worked in North Branch and then opened his own law office in Center City. Pete believed in contributing to his community and volunteered for many organizations such as the Lion's Club, Rotary, Family Pathways, Chisago County Historical Society, and served on countless other boards. His love of music led him to play guitar and sing in the church Praise Band.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, son Jackson Faith, Minneapolis, and birth son Michael Klocke-Sullivan, Boone, IA; his father, Marv (Judy) of Northfield; siblings Tom (Jane) of West St. Paul, Joe (Jodi) of Northfield, Mary (John) Langan of Northfield, and Mike (Libby) of St. Paul. He is also survived by many "Southern cousins,"special nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
He is preceded in death by his wonderful mother Jackie and beloved first wife, Julie.
We will celebrate his extraordinary life with a visitation on Tuesday, December 9, from 4-7 p.m., at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church on Highway 8 in Lindstrom, MN, and a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, December 10, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Center City, MN. Memorials preferred to the family. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrandfh.com
