December 8 a report to Lakes Area Police of theft of items from a fish shack in a driveway.

Theft of a GPS and shotgun from a vehicle parked at Lakeview Road.

December 9 there were four arrests made by Lakes Area Police and sheriff deputies, when Polk County Wisconsin sent information to Lakes Area on a possible warrant suspect residing at the Lakeview Motel. The other three were booked on suspicion of controlled substance offense and/or warrants. The authorities went to the motel about 5 p.m.

A Chisago Lakes schoolbus turning off First, onto Chestnut Street, lightly hit a pickup truck at a stop sign with about 50 kids aboard the bus about 8:40 a.m. Dec 9.  No injuries reported.

Sheriff’s deputies went to a reported residential burglary on 311th in rural Stacy.

Lakes Area Police escorted an out-of-control middle school student off campus about 9:45 a.m

Lindstrom firefighters went to a house on Broadway on Dec 10,  about 1:30 p.m. where neighbors had detected a natural gas smell. Responders had to enter forcibly through a garage door and Xcel was dispatched to assist in taking care of the potentially dangerous situation.

December 12 a female hockey player was taken from the Lindstrom ice arena about 8:30 p.m. following injury on the ice.

December 13 a SWAT squad and negotiators went to an address near 400th Street in North Branch,  on a report of a menacing man with firearms.  Taken into custody without incident was a 34 year old North Branch man.

Theft of a white fiberglas-topped  Triton trailer with Polaris stickers on it.  The stickers have American flags worked into the lettering. Loss is $5,000
An ambulance transported a hockey player from the Chisago Lakes Arena about 7:35 p.m. complaining of concussion-like symptoms.

December 14 a Chisago City man was booked after he allegedly discharged guns in an urban setting. He was arrested after complaints came in that shots were being fired near the Dahl Place neighborhood in Chisago City about 3:30 a.m.

Jerry’s Auto Repair Rush City was broken into by breaking door glass and cash  was missing.

Two vehicle crash at Wilcox and Keystone sent two people to the hospital under their own power. The incident was reported about 1 p.m. One driver, alone,  reportedly missed the stop sign and stated he had brake failure. The second car was carrying a driver and passenger.
