Chisago City firefighters periodically help out deserving local individuals with a donation to improve their quality of life....and, longtime Chisago City firefighter and assistant chief Dan Shanahan was surprised recently with a new wheelchair, made possible through proceeds generated by firefighter charitable pulltabs gaming. Shanahan, 61, requires mobility assistance after a health crisis a few years ago. The $3,000 chair provides multiple adjustments for comfort and its design is an improvement operationally we are told. Pictured with Shanahan are Darrell Montbriand, (retired)left; Asst.
