Patricia Horgen Marzolf, of Lindstrom, was called home to celebrate her 69th birthday in heaven.  She died at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis.

Patricia Mary Lee was born  February 20, 1945 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Minneapolis to Arnold and Ida Lee.  Patty grew up on Lake Minnetonka where her mother owned and operated several beauty salons and her father was a coat and dress maker.  Patty attended grade school at the Basilica of St. Mary and graduated from West High School.  She also attended Minneapolis School of Business.

March 5, 1966 Patty was united in marriage with David George Horgen.  They made their home in Isanti where they raised their two sons, Brent and Chad.  Patty taught Sunday school at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti and was a Cub Scout den mother.  She was a charter member of the Isanti Lioness, was on the Isanti planning and zoning committee, was on the Isanti city council for 10 years, and was also a member of the curriculum committee for the Cambridge-Isanti schools.  Patty worked at the Cambridge Clinic for 15 years and finished her career at Fairview Lakes Clinic, in Wyoming.

In January 1995 her beloved best friend and husband died.  Later she met Bruce Arnold Marzolf and they were married in 1997.  They built a new home and moved to Lindstrom in 1997.  It was in Lindstrom that they found their church home at Lakes Free Church.  Patty enjoyed reading, crocheting, time in the sun and especially spending time with her family and many friends.  She was an avid pet lover and the best “Gram” in the world!

She was preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Ida Lee; first husband David Horgen; and son Chad Horgen.  She is survived by her second husband Bruce Marzolf; son Brent (Dodee) Horgen of Isanti; step-children Robert Marzolf of Scandia, Virginia Rosenbaum of California; grandchildren Jacob Wessel, Jessica Horgen, and Jennafer Horgen; great-granddaughter, Claire Wessel; step-grandchildren, Sara (Matt) Christensen, and Jim (Donna) Marzolf and by other relatives and many friends.
Patty is loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at Lakes Free Church, 29620 Olinda Trail, Lindstrom.   A time for visiting will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Isanti Union Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements were with Strike Funeral Homes and online condolences can be made at strikefuneral.com
