Glenn G. ‘Rusty’ Nelson of St. Croix Falls died suddenly on Thursday June 26 at his home, at the age of 61.

Glenn was born February 10, 1953 in Minneapolis to Gordon and Irmgard Nelson.  He grew up in Columbia Heights and rural Chisago City, graduating from Chisago Lakes High School in 1971.  Glenn used his artistic/mechanical skills on his ’58 Ford pick-up, ’34 roadster and other vintage vehicles.  Glenn and Joan enjoyed a quiet country life of home grown food, love of cats, and a “Man Cave” garage.

Glenn is survived by Joan Leggitt and her family;  his mother Irmgard Nelson, sister Janice (Earl) Olesen, nephew Jay (Theresa) Johnson, niece Heidi (Jim) Pipkin, great-nephews and nieces Stephen, Luke, Sarah, Daniel Johnson, Gordy, Greta, Benjamin Pipkin.  He was preceded in death by his father Gordon S. Nelson.

Graveside services Wednesday, July 2nd at South Green Lake Cemetery.  Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home – Edling Chapel.
