June 24 authorities were on routine patrol about 11:30 p.m. near Unity Avenue and Hwy 95 when they came upon a car that had struck trees off the roadway. Driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and taken to jail in Center City.

Authorities think a thief used a garage door opener inside a parked car to gain access to a dwelling in Sunrise Township June 24 and among items reportedly taken were a laptop, wallet, cell phone, etc.

Theft of appx. 40 feet of cable from a worksite in Chisago Lake Township.

Wintertime theft was just discovered at a seasonal property in Fish Lake Twsp.  Losses are 38 feet of roll-in dock, 90 hp Mercury outboard motor.

Three were injured in a head-on crash on Hwy 8, in Lindstrom near Lehigh Avenue June 26, about 10:15 a.m.  Early reports  are that 47-year-old Kimberly Franklin of rural Taylors Falls was eastbound on the highway,  when a westbound car veered into her lane.  
The state patrol interviewed witnesses who reported nothing happening on the highway to necessitate the second car, driven by Merlin Mollet, 81, of Forest Lake to cross into oncoming traffic.
The drivers and a passenger in the Franklin vehicle were transported by Lakes Region EMS for care.  Their conditions are not known.
A shoplifting report from Brink’s resulted in an arrest of s suspect on a warrant. The 29-year-old male was booked.
June 27 a crash reported on Forest Blvd. (#30) in Wyoming at 264th.  Deputies helped detour traffic.  No details available on incident.

June 28 deputies investigated damage to the Rush City VFW pavillion that appeared as if a vehicle had been driven into pillars.
Lakes Area Police arrested a 38-year-old man in Chisago City after a preliminary investigation into alleged criminal sexual conduct.
On  June 29 a 23-year-old man was arrested after a field breath test showed an alcohol content of .32 percent. The man had tried to enter a home, and had followed children and Lakes Area officers were called about 10 p.m.

Theft from a topper on a truck, by breaking the window,  reported at a home on Oasis Road. Loss of tools valued at $4,500.

Also Sunday, June 29 a motorcyclist and passenger went to Regions Hospital after crashing at County Road 12 and Furuby Road about 8 p.m.  A car was going east on Furuby and the motorcycle was southbound on Park Trail,  when they collided in the intersection. The crash is under investigation.   Occupants of the car had minor injuries and sought medical attention privately.    The motorcycle driver went to Regions by air and the passenger by ground ambulance.
