It was a busy week for law enforcement...there were citations and arrests made by Lakes Area Police for drunk and disorderly conduct during the July 12 street dance for Karl Oskar Days; there was a domestic assault arrest of a 31-year-old at an address on Montclair Avenue July 13;  a dog bite was belatedly reported,  well after the incident took place in Lions Park. The dog and owner were not located.

Lakes Area Police took one stray dog to Northwood Humane Society.

A camera was turned into the Lakes Area Police offices--found after the parade July 12.  Call and describe it to claim.

The portable outhouse at Pumphouse Park was started on fire, reported and extinguished July 8. Also a car fire this day at Cedar Ridge neighborhood, reported about 6:30 a.m. Extinguished without further incident.

A Lindstrom woman was arrested at a home on Andrews Avenue, on suspision of providing alcohol to minors.  The 42-year-old woman was found in the company of three allegedly drunk juveniles, about midnight July 8.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Brink’s.  

Sheriff’s investigators are looking into multiple reports of car windows smashed or shot out and mailbox vandalism, along with paintball damages to houses from Lent Township and in Rush City and surrounding rural areas. Call 257-4100 if you have useful information about possible suspects, leave a message for Sgt. Foster. The reward is $100.

July 9 a suspect was located in connection with a rock thrown through a windshield of a vehicle northbound on County Road 30 near Stacy. No injury to driver.  Incident happened about 11:45 p.m.

A crash about 11:30 p.m. at Kale and Ivywood in Lent Township resulted in a driver being arrested for DUI.
