Michael L. Shanahan, age 70, of Chisago City, MN died Sunday, June 1, 2014, in Lanesboro, MN.

Mike was born December 22, 1943 in Carlton Township, Fillmore County, MN to Mike and Ruby (Nelson) Shanahan.  He attended Lanesboro School.  On April 20, 1963, he married Judy Quarstad at St. Patrick Church in Lanesboro, lived in the Rosemount area for 12 years, then moved to Chisago City, MN, owning and operating Shanahan Masonry with his brother, Dan, for 33 years.

His passions were family, friends, and the outdoors.  His positive outlook blessed many lives.

Mike is survived by wife of 51 years, Judy, children Dawn (Bart), Brent (Bonnie), Wade (Meri), and Hether; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four siblings, Kay, Linda, Dale, Dan, their families and extended families.

Our memorial celebration of life was held at the family farm located at 33630 Gaelic Road, Lanesboro, MN 55949 at 2 pm, Saturday, June 7, 2014.  All are welcome.
