Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services joined forces with the Chisago Lakes High and Trio Wolf Creek Charter School this week. Students (7) from Chisago Lakes and (3) Trio Wolf Creek, spent the last 10 days learning about employment, skills communication, and work readiness. Each day consisted of classroom learning before hitting the streets. Students completed many jobs around the Chisago Lakes area including scraping and painting the gazeebo in Moberg Park, installing new Swedish Immigrant Trail signs (right), sanded picnic tables at Ojikita Regional Park along with cleaning the chapel, raking leaves and fixed the outdoor ampitheater. Students were supervised and mentored by faculty from Wolf Creek and Chisago Lakes. Students were also taught the importance of good nutrition throughout the work day by Food Service Director Kathy Burrill.
