May 3 Lakes Area Police Department went to a call of a burglary in progress at a Norelius Lane address. Neighbors had detained a 29-year-old male suspect, who gave authorities false information. He was arrested about 4 p.m. About 9 p.m. Lakes Area got a call of an empty pontoon on South Lindstrom Lake. Using binoculars the officer got the registration number and followed up on the owner.

An abandoned ATV was recovered in Kost Dam County Park about 10 a.m. The unit is at the Harris district office impound. Registered owner believed to live in Pine County. May 2 report of a dog allegedly killing two chickens kept at a homesite on Lamar Ave. in Chisago City. May 1 deputies assisted Lakes Area police with a call of a burglary in progress on Lakeside Drive aboout 5:45 p.m.

A male intruder was spotted inside the home by the owner. Intruder feld. K9 unit was not able to track and search was halted shortly after. April 28 an assault of a Chisago Lakes High School teacher reported about 2 p.m. Suspect student was arrested. Lakes Area P.D. is holding a couple bicycles left abandoned or possibly stolen and dumped last week. If you are missing a bike in Lindstrom or Chisago City, check with the department. A couple of burning compliants were followed up on. There is no outdoor burning of household trash or toxic plastic waste allowed.
