Lakes Area Police had two debit cards turned in that were found in the area of North Avenue and East Street. An ATV user in the city was warned for violating ordinance. May 10 a minor injury crash was reported at Pioneer Road and Hwy 8 about 9 p.m. The driver of a car that was rear-ended was not transported. May 9 a resident of rural Chisago City reported a scam caller claiming her son needed money because he’d been jailed in Mexico. The resident did not send money but wanted authorities aware of the on-going scam. May 8 the fire siren at the fire hall in Chisago City malfunctioned...it sounded at about 9:30 p.m. Repairs were done. May 6 Local authorities assisted in pursuing a 25-year-old male fleeing Wisconsin deputies, westbound on Hwy 8. Stop sticks were deployed at Center City about 2 p.m. but the suspect turned north at Pleasant Valley Road before entering Center City. The car was located shortly after but it was abandoned. Four hours later the suspect was arrested at Shafer One-Stop.
