Bonnie Jean Branson, 60, of Ruidoso, passed away on May 6, 2014 in Houston, TX. She was born on September 22, 1953 in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Bonnie was the Chef/Owner of Savories Culinary Experience in Ruidoso. She was beautiful, funny, witty, profound, and oh, so talented. She was also very well known and loved in Ruidoso having catered hundreds of parties, receptions, weddings, and gatherings of all sorts for the last 12 years. Savories received numerous awards and acknowledgements throughout the years, including the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Achievement for Small Businesses in 2004.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father Harry Branson of Hudson, Wisconsin. She is survived by her devoted and loving partner Garry Marin; her mother Esther Branson, brother Roger Branson and wife Jody of Hudson, Wisconsin; and brother Scott Branson and wife Mary Baker of Bigfork, MT, and many nieces, nephews, bonus children and grandchildren. Friends and family came together on May 10th to celebrate her life. She was extremely grateful towards the community that embraced her during her battle with cancer. Her friends and family greatly appreciate all those who cared for Bonnie so generously. Halo House Foundation is a wonderful organization that helps many cancer patients, including Bonnie while she was in Houston.
