Law Enforcement

Two men were arrested by Lakes Area officers for suspicion of burglary at the Roadhouse in Chisago City. Police responded to an early morning alarm May 12 and observed an apparent forced entry. See story on charges. Also May 12 a tree was down on a powerline in the 11300 block of Interlachen Road in Chisago City. Power company was notified. A report of a window broken and theft of a radar detector from a vehicle parked at the Chisago Inn motel, on North Ave.

Call came in May 13. Lakes Area Police were called out to a number of domestic arguments and situations where people feared being in their home and a couple of these “suspects” were sleeping in cars reported as suspicious. May 16 a single car crash on Cedarcrest Trail and 482nd in Nessel Township about 7:30 a.m. Driver was not transported. There was damage to a county road guard rail and the car was towed.
