Leonore E. Moberg, of Taylors Falls, died Sunday, May 18 at Norris Square, in Cottage Grove at the age of 92. Leonore was born March 5, 1922 at Centuria, WI to John and Esther Holmberg. She graduated from St. Croix Falls High School in 1940. She attended Gustavus College for two years studying music and business. She also sang in the choir. On August 11, 1943 she married E. Holger Moberg. She taught business for one year at Taylors Falls High School.
She then gave private piano lessons for over 60 years. In her free time she enjoyed music, painting, was active in many facets of church work and especially enjoyed her family. Leonore is preceded in death by her parents; husband Holger; brothers Elwood, and Rodney; sisters Miriam, Dorothy, and Vivian. She is survived by her children Ward (Kathy) Moberg of Osceola, Celeste (Pratana) Chayabutr of Arden Hills, Rachel (Charles) Stark of Northfield, Gwendolyn (Jim) Eatman of Rockwall, TX., John (Cynthia) Moberg of Maplewood, Michael (Cheryl) Moberg of Taylors Falls, Valerie (Richard) Rislow of Lewiston, MN, foster son Douglas (Charlene) Tangen of Farmington, MN, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
