Assault charges filed for Rush City incident

The County Attorney has charged two Rush City area residents with assault in connection with a stabbing incident September 25. (Press Law Enforcement section Oct. 2)

The party stabbed isn’t being identified by investigators.   His wound was in the lower body area and he was transported due to a portion of his intestine protruding. Allegedly the woman charged, Ashley Gorman, stabbed the victim outside his home about 1:30 a.m. and the male charged, Roger Bruce Nahl, lured the victim out of the dwelling where he’d been asleep.  Romantic relations gone bad are the motivation for the incident, investigators state.

Nahl, 30 and Gorman, 24, face similar charges of aiding and abetting first degree assault and second degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

Nahl was in court Monday this week and is not to have contact with the male victim.  The Dept. of Corrections had Nahl under supervision for a prior assault when the Rush City incident took place.  His next court date is November 12.

Gorman is not to use or possess alcohol or controlled substances and also have no contact.
