For those wanting to drop off a toy, gift cards, and/or make a donation to purchase toys prior to December 4, please contact Ann Rinkenberger, the Soaring Eagles’ 4-H Club leader, at [email protected] or 651-433-4358 so pick-up or drop-off arrangements can be made.
The Soaring Eagles is a newly-established 4-H club from Chisago County serving members in Chisago, Washington, and Ramsey Counties in Minnesota, and Polk County in Wisconsin.
It meets the first Thursday of each month from 1 -3 p.m. at the Scandia Community Center.
The club is very committed to doing one or two community service projects at each of its meetings. In its first year alone, club members will be doing 18 community service projects.
Also this year, the Soaring Eagles’ 4-H club meetings will include hands-on projects in 34 different interest areas; and activities through the Junior Master Gardener program. Some of the 4-Hers also are participating in regional and state-level leadership programs, a Wildlife Project Bowl, and the Science of Agriculture Response challenge (SOAR) focused on pollination issues that have a local, national, and global impact.
For more information about donating a toy for Toys to Tots and/or to join the Soaring Eagles 4-H club, please contact Ann Rinkenberger at the number or email noted above.
